I translated for my family, but given the emphasis on tours in English tours as a selling point throughout, this was a trifle naughty really! That aside, I recommend Gizeux for a Chateau Visit that's not too heavy and is moderately interesting to children! You'll feel they've had a bit of culture without too much heavy history! " More >

  "Regine is a very hospitable owner and we felt as if we were staying with friends. Every morning she prepared a huge selection of croissants, French bread, hot chocolate for the children etc. that we felt guilty leaving any of it! Remember to shut your door, if you don't want to be surprised by the cat in the night! There's a spacious garden to relax in, with a small pond in the middle. Regime was very kind and took our children to the local farm, whilst she collected fresh yoghurt and cheese. Our children were able to play amongst the goats there. One evening, we walked about 1km into Poce sur Cisse, for a meal at Les Caves de la Croix Vert, a restaurant in a troglodyte cave.
