It's probably worth paying the extra even if you're not entitled to this offer, as the room is bigger, as far as we could see. We also followed the 'room tips' on this site and booked a room at the back of the hotel on the 5th floor or above. These are quieter than the street view rooms (although in April this isn't a problem). We had a side view of the mountains behind as we were high enough to see above the other buildings that would have blocked any view on lower floors.
