The room was very nice and clean and well-lit so it did not bother us at all to have no window at normal height. The whole hotel is classy in look. The l..."ocation is right in the heart of the tourist part of town so it's just a few blocks to the train station, a few blocks to the ferry stop, many restaurants within two or three blocks. Staff was nice. They had a daily drink special when we were there. Bartender was nice. My only complaint is that the breakfast room did get chaotic at times. While of course part of that is all the crazy tourists (including me), I think with some thoughtful re-arrangement and management there may be ways to improve the situation.   "We stayed here for 4 nights in mid may to attend a friends wedding in Sorrento. The rooms are modern, clean and tidy. The location is very good and is a close walk to most places we needed to get to, including the sea front. Our safe didnt work, but this wasn't an issue as I left my wallet in the ..."room after checkout and Valentina very kindly rushed o the bs station to return it to me personally just before our bus left. I am very grateful and appreciated the effort and honesty! The staff were friendly and helpful. The apartments are on a lovely square, which was a bit noisy in the mornings, but the double glazed windows were fairly good, so it didn't really disturb us at all. The breakfast is served at a small cafe below, but only consists of a coffee and pastry. In summary, we had a very pleasant stay. La Piazzetta is good value for money, modern, clean and tidy with friendly staff and in a good location, but if you want luxury, this is not the place or you. " More >

  "We stayed eight days at this Villa in Sorrento, and it made our Italian holiday. First, the location. It is 15 minutes walk outside the centre of Sorrento and a stiff climb. But in return you have quietness away from the busy traffic, a location in a lemon tree orchard overlooking the Bay of Naples ..."and Vesuvius. It was a spectacular setting. I own a B & B myself (The Art House Hove) so I am choosy about rooms, quality of service, breakfast etc. Villa Oriana Relais could not be faulted. The breakfast was outstanding, I doubt 6 star hotels could match the three different kinds of freshly baked cakes, the freshly squeezed juice, gorgeous coffee, tomatoes/prosciutto/mozzarella, quiche ... the list goes on. All this with glorious views of the sea, and sitting outside in the fresh air when it is warm. The service too was exceptional, smiles abounded. Rooms comfortable and large.
