  "We were very happy with our hotel choice for our visit to Pompeii. Hotel Forum is located just across from the ruins (which we used as the exit after hours of walking through the amazing ruins) and is a very short walk away from the town square and the stunning cathedral. Many excellent cafes and ..."restaurants are also located nearby. We received an upgrade using the TripAdvisor special offer and had a lovely view of Mount Vesuvius over the ruins. The hotel is very clean and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast which was included was delicious and was a great start to our day. The complimentary evening snacks put out by the hotel was a nice surprise and it was great to relax in the courtyard under the lemon trees after a busy day exploring. It is not far from the train station making it a great base to explore other towns in the area (unfortunately due to an evening train strike we did not do as much of this as we had hoped).
