"After doing a very steep hike to the next town, we were very glad we didn't have much of a climb to get to our room on the main street of Vernazza. The location was great, but we did miss having a window we could look out of (there is a small shuttered window, but it looks out on a very dark narrow ..."space). The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom lovely, and Andrea and Kate extremely kind and helpful. Andrea went out of his way to check on the trains for the next complicated leg of our trip, which helped immensely. We wished there was wifi in the room, but understood the difficulty of it, and the lack of it gave us an excuse to keep going back to "Il Pirata", the wonderful restaurant with free wifi up the street.

"This inn was recommended by Rick Steves and it offered everything we wanted....cleanliness, serenity and away from the crowds! It was simple but pristine and Annamaria is very helpful. The breakfast place, Il Pirata is just across the street and as mentioned, offers entertainment from the twin broth..."ers/owners as well as delicious sicilian pastries and fruit slushes! Although it is close to the station, we were not bothered by the noise and slept wonderfully. This was the most comfortable bed that we experienced in our 2 week trip. Cinque Terre is just magical and was clearly my favorite stop of the 5 cities we visited.

"Ivo met us at the train station and walked us to our room, showing us restaurants and other helpful items along the way. He carries our luggage up yo our room for us and was very friendly and helpful the entire time. Our room over looked the street, but we knew that before, so we were not disappoint..."ed. Also, the street is charming and actually fun to watch! Of course there were several flights of stairs up to the room, but, if you know anything about Vernazza, then you know that there are stairs everywhere and that they are unavoidable. I don't understand people complaining about the stairs. You should do your homework about a place before you travel. If you have a problem with stairs or steps, don't even think about traveling to the Cinque Terre. Also, Ivo's is one of the best deals I found available while we were in Vernazza. So happy with our choice!
