That is, she kept her balcony door open (it was a shared balcony) at night and proceeded to smoke like a chimney inside the room at the same time as she talked away to her companion in the room. This created the dual problem of our having to keep our doors closed so as to avoid the second hand smoke and still having to listen to her! While this is not entirely the hotel's fault, I think that this and other hotels could do much more to actually enforce the no smoking rules and laws.
