  "I live in Portugal and often bring friends to see this beautiful Palacio for tea or a beer on the terrace after a visit to the Roman Villa at Milreu. The hotel is happy for the public to come and see the salas, which are well worth a visit. The beautiful gardens are being restored and a walk around ..."the Palacio to the lane at the bottom reveal a lovely view through large wrought iron gates up a drive which needs weeding...but I loved it...all very Miss Haversham! I really think the hotel should specialise in afternoon teas English stylie...it is all rather quiet on the terrace in the afternoon but it would be wonderful to have a proper high tea. I hope to stay here one day for a special occasion and enjoy the view at greater length. " More >

  "We stayed at the Hotel Sol Algarve 17-20th April 2013. This hotel is centrally located within very easy walking distance of the town centre and both the bus and railway stations. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Although our room was an odd shape it was comfortable and spotlessly clean..." as were all areas of the hotel we visited. We were given a balcony as requested but had no outdoor furniture. Although our balcony overlooked the street we were not disturbed by any outdoor noise. The breakfast area was spacious with an alternative outdoor courtyard for those wanting to eat outside. Breakfast was basic but adequate. This hotel provides excellent value for money and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. " More >
