Colina Flora is ideally placed to explore and sample the wonderful Sintra area, Lisbon is easily reached by train and the inspiring sites of Monserrate, Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle just to name a few are easily reached with the valuable assistance of James' extensive local knowledge. Breathtaking beaches are nearby, part of the panorama readily seen from our airy room. All in all Colina Flora comes highly recommended, it is exceptional in every respect.   "A real home from home in delightful setting"
  "We stayed at the Colina Flora for two nights as part of a walking holiday. We were tired when we arrived but James was very welcoming and Aasta provided tea and home made cakes to revive us. We were in the room upstairs which is large and has views in every direction - stunning and very comfortabl..."e. On our first evening Aasta cooked the most delicious dinner. It felt like a very special dinner party and we enjoyed not just the food but getting to know the other guests. The next day we had the most wonderful breakfast with homemade granola, strawberry compote and a range of breads. Aasta also made us delicious picnic lunches for our walk the next day. The garden is lovely and we enjoyed getting to know Lucca the Yorkshire terrier as he ran around there. Lots of interesting places to visit in walking distance although some of the hills are steep. Mary and Alan were incredibly gracious and hospitable, on hand to give help or answer questions, if needed.I thoroughly enjoyed Mary's art class on the Thursday and found her to be a skilled tutor, as well as an accomplished artist in her own right.
