In the middle of the island is Stavros rooms and taverna, both of these are low key, great values and very authentic. Patelis Taverna and hotel are on the east end; this is more upscale and quite a bit more expensive, it all depends on your tastes where you go to stay. Many big and expensive yachts are now frequenting Patelis, many coming now from Turkey. Although Patelis has built two new homes on Marathi and this is spoiling the "small isalnd" atmosphere a bit, I still feel lucky to come back to this very different island.
