Our only comment was the difficulty in finding the hotel when we first arrived.The road layout is a bit tricky,but once the correct turnoff is found,all is well.   "This was our first visit to Durham. Stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. The location is convenient for restaurants, shops and sightseeing. We parked in the multi-storey car park behind the hotel with a discounted rate of £7.70 per day. The rooms are spacious and clean. All the staff we met were f..."riendly and very helpful. The hot breakfast is cooked to order and a variety of fresh coffees are available from the coffee machine. We were staying in a room at the back of the hotel and did hear some noise from the bars nearby. However it did not prevent us from having a good nights sleep. I would recommend light sleepers ask for a front room. We took guided tours of the Cathedral and the Castle, which were both very interesting and enjoyable. " More >
