Arrive to the hotel from Horni street so you don't need to climb with your bags. If arriving by car, you can leave it just before Mansa street for a few mins to unpack. For an extra fee, the hotel offers a remote parking at the Eggenberg brewery - a 5-10 min walk from there to the hotel, best taken without bags. Take your car there after unpacking. Reception is unmanned between 13:00 and 14:00, but you can call them and someone will come within a few mins. They leave again at around 18:00 - 19:00, leaving the guests with a key to the main door. The room has satellite tv. Coffee tea and juice are available 24 hours a day. But, the best part of staying here is Vladimir. He is more than helpful. He is the font of knowledge on Krumlov. He knows a lot about the history of the surrounding area. He recommends the best restaurants and can tell u the best day trips. We stayed 3 nights and were sad to leave.   "The location of this hotel is perfect. Our room overlooked the town square (which in the high season could be noisy as there are so many restaurants below). Our room was spacious and luxurious. It even had a coffee-espresso machine! Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Bathroom area was modern..." and shower pressure fine but for a 4 star hotel,disappointing that no toiletries or face-washers supplied. There is no elevator so lugging 18kgs of baggage up two flights of stairs is ,well, tiring. A manager said they are not permitted to put in an elevator because of its heritage listing which I regarded as a lame excuse not to spend money. Breakfast variety was fine. Driving to the hotel is an adventure in itself. If you do manage to find you way into the old town square and unload baggage, overnight parking is another matter. They have an arrangement with a parking station (Eggenberg) which is about a 15 min walk away but given the one-way streets in the town, it can be quite a circ... " More >
