As another visitor on this site said, very impressed by the fact all the staff seems to be employed from the local area. They're really friendly and enjoyed talking about the surrounding places. We stayed in the sun temple villa which was excellent for a small family with space for everyone and the convenience of a kitchette / living area means a longer stay would be very comfortable.   "Amber Sunset opened in February 2012. There are only six individual units. We stayed in the unit with the swinging bed. They are constructed to feel like a tree house, with broad screen covered windows ( no AC). The rooms are beautifully done with local wood. Each unit is feels isolated from the oth..."ers. The lack of AC was not an issue. It was in the 90s during our stay. We went as two couples and were the only guests. We had very personal and attentive service. The manager and part owner Giovanni was wonderful. The young cooks provided great meals on demand, and the resort organized all of our trips. Finally, Assad picked us up at the boat dock and took us to the airport. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. They will expand over time. We will come back. " More >
