  "My partner and i stayed at the Makadi Palace at the end of April, beginning of May 2013 for 7 nights after booking a last minute holiday. It was dark on arrival but first impressions of the room were good though bathroom was tired as mentioned in other reviews. The room itself was spacious with a ni..."ce living area. I emailed guest relations and requested a high floor room close to restaurants after viewing the map on google and that's exactly what i got. The lighting in the room is not very bright at all apart from the hallway light which is the one i needed for my makeup but this blew but once reported it was fixed the following day but unfortunately blew again a couple of days before we left and though reported did not actually get replaced whilst we were there. The sink was also faulty in that if you pulled the leaver to put the plug in, you then couldn't get the plug out as the leaver was broken but my partner knew to go underneath the sink and pull the wire which had been boched... Having said that, we only had problems getting a sun bed and mattress a couple of times and the staff always tried to rectify by finding more sun beds (but without a mattress or parasol).   "Unimpressed with the rooms, although clean, could do with an update, yet all was nearly forgiven as our cleaner, Iman, left us some beautiful towel sculptures which made our day. Disappointed that not only was the internet not free, it was actually very expensive. Beach felt claustophobic due ..."to all the windshields around the beds, and if you couldnt get a sunbed then you really couldnt spend time on beach as theres no extra space. although it did free up in the afternoon, so all was not lost ....
