However, thi..."s is the first time we have returned with negatives which are more "niggles" than anything that should put anyone off going but felt it fair to let people know. There are areas which are need of great repair, like the main pool which when we visited 2 years ago the floor of the pool was coming up and this year you cannot miss the "bouncy" floor! Also, we are in the jasmine "garden view" area which is undergoing external repairs which was noisy where we positioned - not helping being next to the cleaning cupboard - and with other building work going on didn't make the experience as relaxing as previous years.   "We arrived home this morning after spending 10 days at this hotel and we had a fantastic holiday . When we arrived it was past the dinner time though I appreciated that the chefs had set aside some food for late arrivals . I haven't seen this in other hotels I have stayed in . The food looked lov..."ely but this was not to mines or my partners taste , it appears it was geared more towards the Russian guests , this is the only reason why I haven't gave the overall rating an excellent score . I have suggested on the hotel comments sheet that they provide chips in the evening every night as even the fussiest of eaters will surely eat chips . ( though these are served during the day ) The staff in the restaurant were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble , our waiter was very attentive and every meal time would have our drinks at our table within seconds .   "Fourth time in Sharm, but first at Grand. Previously stayed at Hilton Waterfalls, which we feel is superb, so, Grand had something to live up to. First impressions not that great, arrived after delayed flight, & chaos at Airport, ages to get thro' passport control, collecting baggage & waiting to ..."get away on transfer.... So, were already p'd off when eventually arrived at hotel. Then, we have to fill in registration forms, wait for key card etc. Then, there were 12 of us, led crocodile fashion by one bellman, who proceeded to show us, individually, to our rooms, in the dark, unfamiliar pathways.... Eventually, we were allocated room 101!! Anyone who has seen the TV programme knows that this is where the rubbish is consigned!! Well, guess what? We are not rubbish, but the room was! Cutting a long story short, we obviously were not prepared to accept this room,,but had to wait till following day to be moved. Once this was achieved, the only way was up! From that point o...
