I was so impressed at his thoughtfulness...very much appreciated. Also at check in, the woman offered a snack even though I already chose the ..."extra points. I also got a quiet room as requested. The hotel is a little bit dated as Hamptons go, but the service was way above and beyond. I would stay here again in a minute whenever I need a room in the Allentown area. " More >

  "Check in was efficient. There.were chocolate chip cookies and fruit on offer. We were offered beverages from the pantry, a step up from the usual warm water bottles in the room. Our room was typical HGI and faced truck parking. The hotel was transitioning from the Neutrogena products to the new one..."s, a step in the wrong direction. Breakfast was a hybrid -- waitress service for the hot items and buffet for breads , yogurt fruit. This worked well -- the cooked foods were hot and tasty and service was excellent. Our waitress offered a choice of Cholula or Tabasco to liven up the hash. The only con was access, coming from 22 it seemed you have to make a u-turn and the entrance is easy to miss.   "I go away on business almost weekly to Hotels so feel I can give a fair comment about Hotels. I recently stayed at the Homewood Suites in Allentown, PA and found the room to be super clean and beautiful and I even got a ceiling fan over the bed which you never see in chains. The staff was wonderful..." upon arrival and gave me the quiet room I requested. I was not crazy about the breakfast and wish chains would make more healthier choices instead of a lot of carbs so I stuck to my green shake for breakfast instead of going downstairs. I had wished they would have cooked Oatmeal to offer and not the microwave kind, otherwise the Hotel went beyond my expectations and I would recommend it to not only the business traveler but the tourist as well.
