The buffet had a large selection of meals,the presentation,the drinks were fantastic and replenished through out the party. Some of the staff members even sang happy birthday to my dad and presented him with a cake which was super nice and unexpected. The staff were extremely professional, helpful and very pleasant. The day could not have gone any better and there is no doubt in my mind that my dad had an amazing time(as he could not stop talking about it) and I will recommend to anyone looking for a great space to host guests.   "I have stayed in most of the "top" hotels in Lagos and sadly the only thing "top" about the vast majority is the prices. That comment is including and especially related to a number of the newer entrants and international brands. I am happy to say that Southern Sun hotel does NOT fall into that ..."category. Its room rates my be amongst the top in Lagos but so too is its service. Room service and maintenance inquiries are responded to PROMPTLY - Halleluiah!! The restaurant food is impressive and that applies to the buffet and the a la carte menu - a rareity in Lagos! A sensibly sized pool which gives swimmers some privacy instead of being on show to all and sundry at the bar or inthe restaurant but it is still a nice feature. Best of all for me they have a good gym and very decent spa facilities including a sauna and steam room for women. Something most of the hotels claiming to be 5* in Lagos do not even have or if they do they charge ridiculous prices for guests to use them... " More >
