  "Stayed at the Juneau Youth Hostel during the recent Juneau Jazz & Classics Festival (as the Baranhof Hotel was booked). Very pleasantly surprised. Clean, vibrant and friendly accommodations--a short walk to the Centennial Hall Convention Center (where some of the music venue took place)--as well a..."s the globally renowned Perseverance Trail. The trail had lots of winter rockfall--and rather dangerous (the City or State should close the trail in the winter). The trailhead was about a mile from the hostel. The staff was incredible! Jammed with the 'hostel-keep' Kristen (funky- but- chic) and her charming 9-year old daughter. They made recommendations for some great hiking venues near the University. Reminds me of the incredible hostel experience I had last year in Firenze (Florence) Italy. " More >
