  "One night Stand!! Should have stayed for the week!"
  "The hotel staff was only matched by the outstanding room we got upgraded too for our 1 night stay. Had it not cost us 1000.00 to change our flights I would have booked 2 additional days.. The spa was right outside our room.. We are very fit so the stairs to the upgraded room had us running for good ..."Health and we didn't mind.. The court yard and grounds were the best of our 7 day stay in Somoma... The dinning was beautifully prepared and tasted like old world Tuscan ..the dinning plates were so unique.. I wrote the name down to find some for myself.. French country side charm.. But did I forget to say again.. The staff from the front of the house to the back... Gave such a warm welcome ..   "I have downgraded the Kenwood Inn from 5 stars on here to 4, which seems to be the consensus of other past guests as well. The first time I stayed at the Kenwood last year was probably one of my top ever hotel/resort experiences. This time, I'd still put it up in the top 10 or 15 ... but it has lost..." a little luster in terms of the service and upkeep since the last time I stayed. Maybe the influx of reservations due to the great press it has received over the past few years and the Conde Nast award have aged the rooms/facilities quicker than normal. Still ... for wine country, I haven't found anything that compares in terms of price/luxury. So, I would say this is still a great choice to those who are looking for a Tuscan-style retreat in a more laid-back setting than touristy Napa. My biggest suggestion would be to visit this property during a down time, if possible. It is a smaller property and even at times there are only 3 or 4 other couples there, it does feel a bit crowded. I c... " More >

  "A Bloomspot Deal"
  "I booked this hotel in late March with a Bloomspot deal. It's a beautiful hotel--especially the grounds-- with a paddle wheel and koi pond and extensive trees and plants surrounding the courtyard where you eat breakfast. I also liked the pool with the water fall and the jacuzzi. The pool was heat..."ed in March as well, which is unusual. The spa is next to the pool so you can hear the water cascading out of the waterfall as you have a massage. I did have a massage at the spa and it was excellent although overpriced even for the area. It was worth doing for the experience though. They do give you champagne at the end which is a nice touch. Our room was on the second floor which I requested. It was quite large with a really nice gas fireplace on a timer. The front doors were nice because they were glass with a wood door that could separate like a shutter and open up to lovely views of the vineyards. The bathroom was on the large side with a spa tub.
