  "My family group rented 4 rooms for Yale graduation. Thus, I got a cross section of the rooms. Every one was different. Each had a tv (which we didn't end up using), each had a small refrigerator, some had a window air conditioner, all of the plumbing worked. The building is old and barely renovated ..."with ots share of crumbling wood and chipping plaster. It was too noisy for me to sleep, but I am used to the quiet countryside. The garbage collection got cranked up about 5:30 on weekdays, followed by recycling of what sounded like mountains of glass bottles. Ear plugs were insufficient to the occasion. I would still recommend this hotel to anyone doing anything at Yale. It was convenient to all the various graduation activities & the price was reasonable. " More >

  "I stayed here (two hotel owners ago), for a few days back in 1966 when I arrived in New Haven to start my freshman year at Yale. The hotel is MUCH more elegant, now, and better fits with its on campus location. It does, indeed, have the comfortable feeling of a study, like the Linonia & Brothers r..."eading room in Sterling Library, both in the lobby, and in the room itself with its desk running the length of the window in my room overlooking Chapel Street. My only complaint would be the terrible slowness of the wireless internet service, especially at busy times, and the terrible spottiness of the wired ethernet connection in the room, preventing hooking up your own wireless router. I recommend brining your own cellular to 802.11n hotspot with you to insure internet access while you're there. " More >

Before i checked in I was not quite sure of the area and the hotel.It turned out to be agood choice better than the high p..."riced ones.The gentleman at the checkin time was helpful as we got there before time helped us to store the luggage as the room was not when the lady there refused saying no space.The lady when we checkedout was very helpful.The inn provides transport to anywhere in Newhaven with 3 vans free at our requested times we were driven by engineer and norman I think they were very helpful as were foreigners we were not quite sure of the area.I strongly recommend this to anyone visiting YALE.
