However, our welcome in reception was excellent, our room was fantastic (not sure why people say the rooms are dark, they are ..."shaded - keeps them cool, you can always put a light on) overall our stay was perfect. The new café is handy and the shop by the side of the reception keeps most things you may need. The whole place was kept clean and tidy with a pride seldom seen in hotels.   " Just got back from a stay at The Beach Club at Anna Maria. Having never been to Anna Maria Island before I didn't know what to expect but I was more than pleased when we arrived. We booked rooms at The Beach Club based on reviews and they were spot on. We booked a two-bedroom unit for 5 of us..." which was actually units 8 & 9 with adjoining doors. We had two full kitchens and living rooms which was very nice so we could make different meals as we wanted them and have space to spread out. The beds were pretty comfortable and it was nice having a washer and dryer, too. We arrived early in the week and nearly had the resort to ourselves until Friday when the whole place filled up. I'll be honest - we got spoiled when no one was there because it was very quiet. Once others checked in there was a noticeable difference in noise and you could hear people outside and above you even though they were not being especially loud.
