The night we were there was heavy rain, and a section of the main dining restaurant had water pouring in through the roof and walls, with some staff trying to wetvac it up for awhile. The dinner we had in the restaurant was pretty good though. Our room had a porch that walked down to a large shared terrace overlooking the grounds and river, which was nice. This hotel is big, with some shops in the bottom area, and an adjoining karaoke/bar for those who want some nightlife activities.   "My tour group met up at this pre-arranged hotel for one night before being bussed to Zhangjiajie for a 5 day tour. On 6th day, we returned to the White Swan Changsha before departing the next day. I stayed on in Changsha alone for two more days to know more of Changsha. My tour guide tried to book me a room for the two extra night but was charged about 35% higher than a similar room at the LongChamp Garden Hotel about a mile from this hotel. So I took booked at the LongChamp. The White Swan Changsha is an excellent hotel, but lack the basic services to make a new traveler to Changsha feel safe and welcome. They did not have any form of money exchange onsite. I was told to go to a bank down the street for money exchange which the bank refused. The booming music from next door building did not allow me to sleep for 3 hours. I finally went down and complaint and they put me in another room which was quiet, gave me a fan which allowed me to sleep that night. Otherwise, this would have been great.
