Some limited wait times for restaurants which required a reservation. These restaurants were regularly understaffed as there were always empty tables and yet we had to wait up to an hour to get seated (?). The menus were varied and the kitchen did a good job with quality and presentation. The buffets were good as well especially if you were there earlier rather than later. Gran Bahia Principe exceeded our expectations for resort quality in all shapes and forms. Check-in was a breeze. Our luggage was taken care of; we did not have to worry about anything! Rooms were perfect. The staff gave us two room next to each other that were connected by a door which was great. We were greeted with a towel elephant on the first day and a bird half-way through our stay. They were so clean after the maid had been through it. The mini-bar was stocked once a day. I especially loved the huge bottles of water they kept for us in our room. It definitely helped gulping one down after a long day outside in the heat. We could not have asked for more.
