On arrival there was a bottle of white and red wine along with Maltesers waiting for us. That was just what we needed after a long journey. The kids were happy as were we. There was as an abundance of literature for the local areas for restaurants and local sights to see. Very helpful. Nicola couldn't have helped us any more than she did when there were a few 'glitches' when I came to book the cottage online. She 'beared' with me and we got there in the end.   "After such a long break away from this wonderful hotel (mainly due to the floods) we were please to here that the Crown Inn was back up and running. Hebden Bridge is a wonderful place to visit and when we go there we ALWAYS stay at Crown Inn. Wonderful staff, very nice food and breakfast, nice clean..." rooms and we have always found the staff very accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for them.   "I spent the night before my wedding, and our wedding night at the White Lion and am so glad I decided to indulge myself. A large party of us had a meal together the night before, and despite us being a bit tardy and uncoordinated, they coped with us well and served up good food. My room, the bridal ..."suite (room 2), was gorgeous, and huge. Wonderfully decorated (a huge change from my first stay in the White Lion in 2006, pre-refurbishment), with massive shower, roll top bath, dressing area, tv the size of my lounge. It was a nice environment to relax in, and the fact I got little sleep had nothing to do with the room, only pre-wedding nerves! The next day my bridesmaids and I got ready here, and despite there being up to eight people milling about at any one time (including photographers, family, make up artist..) it didn't feel crowded. Breakfast was very good, (though for my purposes on the saturday started a little late, as we had to go set up before it started) I enjoyed ... " More >
