We chose the Residence since each are usually comfortable, usually well located, and meet your basic travel needs. Harrisonburg property met all those. And I did experience a first at this hotel - at Check-in, we were REQUIRED to sign a list of warnings (no smoking, pet policy, etc.). Quite frankly, had I not been exhausted, I would have said, "thanks, but no thanks, I do believe, I'll find another hotel." I'd suggest the Frontdesk Staff might consider working on their attitude - there's room for considerable improvement. " More >

I originally only booked one night, but made the last minute decision to stay two nights and was able to quickly adjust my reservation. Communication with Wayne, the owner, by both phone and email was easy and effective! I requested a late check-in at 10:30pm, and Wayne was able to accommodate. Wayne met us outside and gave us a warm greeting. Wayne talked to us about the inn, breakfast, and things to do in town.
