The various restaurants around the hotel kept the choice of food interesting throughout our stay. Service: The service throughout the hotel was excellent with some of the friendliest staff I have ever met. From the gardeners to the lobby bar staff everyone was always happy to help however possible. Rooms: Our room was a standard room located away from the pool (which was nice and quiet), the bathroom and room its self was a little dated, but kept nice and clean and was all in good order.   "Me and my boyfriend stay during the week of May11-18. Its my first time to Cuba and i wasnt kinda of worry after read the reviews on here. However the entrie trip turn out amazing. We got our room and bracelette once we arrived. And they send us our luggage within half an hour. The foods are great..." at the snack bar especially they make great spagetti n pizza, which are much better than at the buffet. We went to the three a la carte which i didnt like it at all, but my boyfriend do enjoy the italian restaurant the most. And the service at the asian fen was way too slow. Not sure its because there were 2 large group of ppl from diamomd club and it seems they got the priority. Drinks are great at the lobby bar as sometimes the bar tender will offer their daily special. For excursions we didnt do much as we only went to the pilar beach (so beautiful, highly recommamd) and the cave party(didnt really like it as it too hot n bats were flying around) Overall i would recommend this hotel ... We were going to southern France in june but I recommended this hotel to a friend he flew out 22 April and had a fa..."bulous time , he loved it and went on about how good it was , we found all that irresistible and have rushed into Thomas Cook 9/5/ to book 2 weeks from 13th June. When we were there last year we met a lot of people who had been back many times ,including some Canadians who had been all around the area , eg Mexico, Dominican Republic and Bermuda but chose to come back to the Melia Cayo Coco, it is a real chill out holiday, can't wait !
