Half way between Nice and Cannes the location gave us great access to explore the region and the towns of Vence and St Paul de Vence were both incredibly sweet and just a ..."short drive away. We were a party of 5 and found the house both well equipped and comfortable. Although cool in mid May we were able to enjoy the pool and the welcome pack of champagne (most important for us honeymooners) plus basics like bread, milk, cheese, juice and fruit was a lovely touch. There is a small makeshift 'shop' set up in the garage where you can get the basic ingredients for a simple meal on the nights you'd prefer to stay in but there are any number of great spots to eat nearby too. We found the owner and guest manager great to deal with and although I would recommend hiring a car to make the most if the surrounding towns and activities, if you wanted a private escape yo...   "We had a short but enjoyable stay with Rob and Fabienne in June. We were offered a welcoming drink on arrival and shown our rooms which were a little small, but fine for our needs. The property has been well-designed for guests and there are four or five different areas (roof, courtyard, terrace, lo..."unge and poolside) where you can relax either with or separately from anyone else who is there. Rob and Fabienne are considerate hosts and asked if we were comfortable with their dog before letting it loose: not all of us were, so they made sure it was kept away from us while we were there.   "Comfortable room, very nice bathroom, everything was very clean. The location is convenient to explore the Alps and the Riviera areas, and the view is very nice. For the price of 140 euro a night, I would expect that the breakfast will be included in the total charge, and a cost of 12 euro each -..." it's something to take in consider. The couple who runs the place are very nice and welcoming, but they are not "experts" of the area, so you can't rely on their recommendations, and have to come prepared with your own info, including things like opening hours.
