  "We have just returned from a perfect honeymoon from 2nd - 12th May, at the Awali. This resort was recommended to us from a couple of work friends who had previously been, and came highly recommended. Firstly we received a very warm welcome, and the warmth of the staff continued throughout our stay...". The only downfall to be aware of is that, when we arrived from a very lengthy flight at 7am, we were advised that check-in was not until 2PM!!! We couldn't quite believe it and i felt like crying! (all girls would understand being in your travelling clothes following a 12 hr flight, plus being in 25 degree heat is not my idea of paradise!) My husband thankfully had the gumption to approach reception and explain to them that we really did not want to wait until 2pm, - so thankfully the lovely staff did all they could and we managed to get a room at 9.30am. We were All Inclusive with Virgin and as we had booked more than twelve months previously were entitled to use all the restaurants on an All Inclusive deal. Had exceptional service in all the restaurants but if you are allowed to have a favourite we had our Silver Wedding Anniversary meal at The Chateau and this was unforgettable. All the hotel complex was extremely well maintained from the beach area to the gardens. We stayed on the beach during the day and found this very relaxing and peaceful.
