  "Koh Ngai, a small little island without traffic, loud music or crowded streets. To get here, it take aprox 45 minutes from the Pak Meng pier or 1,5 hour from Koh Lanta, both by boat. Our travelagency booked the standard Warin cottage but we upgraded through direct e-mail to a Beachfront Cottage, ..."which i personally would recommend. Some standard Warin cottages are right next to a generatorhouse which was quite noisy. We had Beachfrontcottage BF05, which was big enough for the two of us. The cottage had a large terrace with two sunbeds. Inside the cottage, a large double bed with a mosquitonet, watercooker, minibar, hairblower and a small couch. The toilet and shower are outdoors and fairly simple. The shower could use some more waterpressure but this seems normal in Thailand. The restaurant was good, keep in mind they charge 10% fee (some said 17% but is was 10% for us )above the prices in the menucard. Breakfast was ok as well with decent coffee.   "We stayed in Thanya over Songkran break. It is quiet and peaceful with nothing much going on which is perfect if you are looking for a relaxed getaway. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasant. The beach in front of the property is clean and stunning! Th..."e pool is also a nice option. There were a few minor flaws with the rooms and the property such as broken beach chairs, or loose tiles in the bathroom and pool area, but it isn't anything a bit of maintenance couldn't fix. Wifi is only available in the restaurant area, but since our room was located close to the restaurant we had a decent signal in our room too. The beach view bungalows are worth the extra money as the views are stunning. We were glad to have chosen to stay here over any other place on this beach.   "This place is incredible. My finacee and I stayed here and I second everything denman84 mentioned. Great rooms and outdoor showers and ideal location to kick back for a few days and breathe after the tourist crush of some of the nearby islands (Lanta, Phi Phi, Lipe). Expect a few bugs around as the ..."island is almost entirely jungle but the rooms are spotless. Restaurant is great and there is some friendly activity in the bar each evening.
