  "This is a good Japanese Onsen Lodge which is near Aso (about 30-40 minute drive)with reasonable price. The lodge is furnished with many timber and local flowers. Instead of having traditional male and female onsen bath, it has four private onsen rooms sharing between the guests. The room is spaci..."ous and clear with fully equipped bathroom and complete in-room provision (including a safety box). The host lady in charge is very enthusiastic, caring and helpful. For the food, as usual, my package includes both breakfast and dinner. The first night dinner is a Japanese style BBQ with delicious seafood and beef. The second night is traditional Japanese feast, including mouth watering sashimi, grilled crab and local beef. The breakfast is also up to the standard. The host is also very considerate that she prepares the take away rice balls and local steam water every morning before we depart for our tour.   "Wow! This hostel is awesome. The price may seem high, but for Japan, it is normal. What is not normal, however, is the cleanliness, the organization, and the service. There are free Q-tips and soap and shampoo and facewash and lotion for the guests! Where else does that happen? They have discounted ..."tickets for the local onsen and detailed hiking maps of the area. And the staff speak great English and are great at recommending. The common areas are clean. The sheets are clean. The bathrooms are clean. It's great! Being two blocks from the station and a 10-minute or less walk from onsen, restaurants, grocery store, and 100-yen stores make it really well located. The kitchen and refrigerator are clean and easy to use for all, which saves you money. Definitely I would return here again and again. " More >

  "I lived one night in this hostel in Apr 2011. SImply feel great value for money and would recommend others to try this hostel, particularly for this new building. The female boss is very nice in taking us to the zoo park by her car in next morning, saving our time and money to go there by ourselves."
