Forchheim is now called the 'Entry gate to Franconian Switzerland and it's certainly true. The Schweizergrom has decent rooms, we usually let family guests rest there if there's not enough room in the house. As it is passed by some major cycling tracks in the area, especially on weekends you will see a lot of cyclists there. The restaurant is well known in the area for it's local beers and wines. The owner Heinz is a butcher as well and his sausages and his wife's Monika local dishes are quite popular.   "Good Business Hotel"
  "Nice hotel next to the city centre. There is a bar and restaurant however it was closed during our stay. Rooms are a good size en the bath room is modern en clean. Front of the hotel is at one of the busy roads of the town and can be a bit loud. Breakfast is good and personel is very friendly."
