Highly recommend stopping here in the middle of the ski day. Great atmosphere and food was really good. Had the sausage platter and would recommend it.

We go here a lot: super location on the back of Taos mountain, accessible by ski lift or shuttle in winter. It's an alpine chalet, with a countinuously sunny terasse. And, great beers on tap. We were there during a time when the ski area was empty. Therefore, the restaurant was empty. Food, service and ambiance were great. Nice to not eating cafeteria style. Try the fried fish. It was delicious.

Very expensive. Food Average Quality. Service good but slow. Bathrooms are frigid. One attractive thing about the restuarant is the free shuttle service that will pick you up...since a 4x4 vehicle is needed to reach the location.
