Went there for dinner on a Friday night. Excellent, delicious food. Only one waiter, but he seemed to be completely on top of it all. Would thoroughly recommend.
This is a lovely setting for lunch before or after visiting Jumieges Abbey, and I am sorry to be negative. We had made a reservation based upon previous reviews, and thought that this would be a special meal for our last day in Normandy. We found the food to be disappointing. The vegetables vinaigrette that I ordered as a first... More
We visited this restaurant on a busy lunchtime service for my parents wedding anniversary. What a treat! First courses were beautiful and the veal that we all chose for a main course was very tender with a marvellous rich but light sauce. Desserts sublime, my tarte tatin was seriously good. Add this super food to a wonderful setting and knowledgable... More
Nice resteraunt , good food , lovely views of the River , and well worth a visit . Service was friendly even though very busy mid week . Reasonable priced set menu plus al a carte .
If you are visiting the Abbey at Jumiege, which is a must if you are in the area, you will be tempted to eat in the village itself or nearby Yainville if you are visiting the Cristophle factory shop. DON'T. Seek out the Auberge du Bac. It is out of the village and next to the ferry crossing and easy... More
We arrived here at 7.00pm and were the first people. The restaurant seemed empty and we wondered why our hotel had recommended that we booked. Well by 7.30 the place was packed, the staff were busy but very attentive, and the food was amazing. My 4 year old didn't want pasta with his fish and was very disappointed there were... More
Charming restaurant on the bank of the Seine by the ferry (free crossing). Pleasant atmosphere, plenty of locals (always a good recommendation) and good value French cuisine.
Wow, this place is a cracker! Quite unassuming from the outside, but we decided to go because of its beautiful setting by the Jumieges ferry by the Seine, and also because we'd just got soaked in one of the many downpours on our holiday, and wanted to placate the children as quickly as possible with some food. The welcome was... More
OK - it wasn't a great holiday: rained almost every day, but our lunch at the Auberge de Bac restored our faith in French restaurants. We were the only tourists - everyone else in the packed restaurant was French. The food was classic Norman cuisine, served with classic French professionalism by capable waiters and accompanied with an excellent bottle of... More
From the restaurant you can look straight onto the Seine. Staff is friendly and there is plenty of choice in the several menus they offer. Good to see that they do not just focus on tourists but also on the locals. Ingredients are fresh and even for little people they offer a good 3 course meal.
