Although the hotel was closed we had use of the pool and bar, there was never more than four people in the pool on our visit each day

Food was bland, didn't look fresh and when you tried to get the attention of the cooks there they wanted nothing to do with you and your questions. It was the same thing everyday. I lost weight instead of gaining weight on vacation.

We stayed in the Riu Mambo and found the food excellent with a wide choice of dishes. My daughters wedding reception was held there too. The decorated the area and tables with flowers which looked lovely and waited on us all evening then brought out the wedding cake that was absolutely delicious.

Hotel itself was closed during our stay at Hotel Merengue, but we were allowed to use the pool and pool bar was open too. Really quiet - a whole pool - loads of sunbeds and only a few of us using them. Bliss!

I had a great time at this place, the staff is friendly and helpful, the food is very good and offers more variety than other more expensive places I've visited.

Rocky beach. Bad food. Far away from everywhere. Bad entertainment.

Didn't really stay for any length of time but i found it small and the washrooms in the snack bar were yucky and their pool chairs are vynal which would be awful on a hot day.

Would definately recommend....we had a ball. A few reviews i have read have complained about this hotel but in reality.....they need to get a life. This hotel was clean friendly well kept and served its purpose very well
