it was a group of four, and I will admit that the restaurant itself was fancy with a nice ambiance. The staff was very attentive, so I was expecting to be blown away considering the the reviews this spot had...but unfortunately I was not. 1. the bathrooms were dirty. 2. don't expect to leave very full, because the portions are... Wow the food was amazing! I went here for dinner with two work colleagues during a business trip. I had the Sicilian snapper and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered a la carte because I not think I could eat 4 courses and I don't like to be wasteful but in the end it would be more economical and a... More

Popular place so DEFINITELY MAKE RESERVATIONS! This place is a popular great charming place on Calle La Fortaleza. When you walk in the bar area is dimly lit with some tables scattered around but when you walk into the main dining area the place is transformed into a spacious well lit area with colorful modern textures and decor. The food... More

Think of Marmalade as an experience and not solely as a terrific restaurant and wine bar. Emerging into Marmalade from a somewhat dusty and run down Calle La Fortaleza is only the beginning of the experience. The decor is airy, chic and modern in a very tasteful combination of lighting, colors, angles and textures. I was compelled to walk around... More

I can't say enough about our wonderful experience at Marmalade. The service, atmosphere and food were top notch. The Chef went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. He approached and asked if he could make me something else when he noticed I had only finished half my entrée. The truth was it was... More

Lots of choices and beautifully prepared. The staff was great and the chef came around and asked for our opinion on everything. If you want Old San Juan this is not your restaurant. If you are a "foody" and are a "wine snob", this is your place. (I say this in the most non-disrespecful way possible). Three of us thoroughly... More

Absolutely wonderful! This place gets 10 stars from me. This food is by far the best food I have ever tasted in my life! After eating here, I understand why it is rated the #1 restaurant in San Juan PR on Trip Advisor and why people rant and rave about the food. I had a small destination wedding and food... More

The food was incredible, probably one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The owner / chef looked at every meal coming out. Every dish was meticulously prepared. They offered grassfed meat and had the freshest ingredients. We even got a much welcomed lesson on GMOs, which is something I am paying attention to now. All the staff... More

I've eaten in the top restaurants in cities all over the world, and this is one of the best meals I've had. I do not even really know how to describe the menu because it mixed so many unique cuisines. So I'll just describe it as VERY TASTY. This is one of the few meals I've ever had where everything... Get ready to spend some money here, but the food is great! The white bean soup is great. The popcorn shrimp is great! Everything is good, but not cheap and not traditional Puerto Rican food!
