This is not a review as we found them closed, until sometime in November. Ended up at Si Senor, just uphill. Pretty good Mex food.

During our stay, my husband happened upon Melissa's as we were exploring the neighborhoods. I had read the reviews about it, so we were not completely unaware of how the restaurant was. It was as excellent as other reviewers had stated! We had grilled mahi mahi smothered in seafood wine sauce that was extremely flavorful and perfectly cooked. The staff...

Lime marinated shrimp, avocado, onions etc....my favorite ceviche in Puerto Vallarta! I also had the whole red snapper which was crispy on the outside & moist inside! Melissa's is always on our list of restaurants to go to each year!
My wife & I stopped in for a late lunch on our first day in town. My wife had deep fried Red Snapper and I had Dorado. The decor is simple, unassuming and the place is clean. It is just short way back from the malecon, which makes for a nice place to stop when you are carrying the better...

This is a wonderful family owned restaurant just up from the Malecon in the old town. You can see where the cooking is done in the open and the quality and flavours were authentic and full of flavour. Very friendly service, and best tortilla soup in Puerto Vallarta. Small but always busy and we made a point of making a...

We discovered Melissa's last year on our first time back to PV since 2005 and we've been back a number of times. This year we had the pleasure of taking our daughter, her husband and our two grandchildren with us on one occasion and on another it was my wife's brother and his wife, visiting from Rincon de Guayabitos.

Whenever we have friends come down to visit, our very first stop is at Melissa's. Have had almost everything on the menu from the giant shrimp to a burrito, and never a bad meal. Always warm and welcoming when you hit the door. Always great service along with the great food. And the shot of Tequila on the house after...

Our daughter and son-in-law were here for a week with their two boys. One of their vacation treats is to go out for dinner almost every night. Since our SIL loves shrimp, he ordered it many times during the week and made comparisons. Although he said that they were all good, he just kept saying that Melissa's was the best....

This was the first time we went to Melissa's in El Centro Puerto Vallarta. I had the Mahi Mahi topped with spinach and melted cheese. It was delicious. Another in my party had the seafood soup. It was okay, but not great. We had Diego as our waiter. He is a young man with an infectious smile and attitude. Everyone...

I really like this place. This is not those fancy place, but it has really good food. The food there is more like home cooking, hearty and authentic. It is kind of light and comfort food, not too oily or strong. Service is very friendly and hearty as well. Price is soooo right. Good for a casual dinner.
