The place is very beautiful like the ancient Mexican haciendas. The food is really excellent and the people too.
Ok, first of all, let me just say that I wish we had found this place earlier in our stay. It was - by far - the best meal we had in Cozumel during our 8 day stay. And the price was fantastic! $66 for 2 entrees, 2 desserts and 4 large Margaritas. Coming from Hawaii, that is a great... More
We ate here THREE times during our recent six day stay. The food was excellent, reasonably priced, and the setting is peaceful and colorful. They are well known to the cruise ship passengers, so arrive for lunch here before noon or you'll probably have to wait. If you're in town for dinner, as we were, the place is virtually empty,... The atmosphere is nice and the service phenomenal. The food was delicious and the prices reasonable. The salsa's were amazing and quest appetizer wicked good. We would definitely eat there any time we are in Cozumel. There is a souvenir shop adjacent to the restaurant. The restaurant is on the main drag at the end of all the hawkers. Taxi... More
When in Cozumel we have to eat at Pancho's Backyard! The last time we were there was 2 years ago, so I was interested to see if it had changed. When we debarked our cruise ship we took a taxi into town, heading straight for Pancho's, and happily, it was still terrific! This was our 5th visit to Pancho's and... More
We have been cruising on Carnival (not a good subject with me...with all the bad publicity, you would think Carnival would strive to be their best, but the opposite is true...but back to the restaurant...sorry!)...great food, great server, and great margaritas!! What more could you ask for....oh and it was decorated to be very inviting to the tourists...will definitely go... More
This is the place to get authentic and great tasting Mexican food. Don't pass up the Backyard on your next visit to Cozumel!
Though not on the water the atmosphere at Pancho's is relaxing and the service was great. We had drinks and appetizers only, but both were terrific. We were serenaded with live music and were comfortable and cool after some shopping on the Malecon. This restaurant is tucked back in one of the nicest shopping "malls" in Cozumel.
We were not expecting to find it, and we stumbled in, literally, trying to fight off all the local Mexican sales people hanging out every door down the street and hide from them! Ureeka! We found this excellent restaurant tucked away in the back of a very nice store front among the palms and plants out back. There are portico's... More
