Excellent. Very nice people. We just let diego whip up stuff he suggested. Guacamole was great. Food terrific.
This was our first visit to Diego's but won't be our last. He was just closing but stayed open for us. Fresh fried shrimp taco's were amazing. Hubs had beef and said they were fantastic. He only had 1 beer and ran out to get more for us. Really nice family. 6 tacos, 2 beers and coke light for 170... More
Diego seems to be a very gracious host, he even made me a wonderful mojito with fresh mint He picked from his garden, which is right next to the seating area. The problem for me is the lack of sanitation. My Family and I ate at all of the (off the beaten path and back alley) restaurants we could find... More
Diego's little garden spot turned into a daily hang for my wife and I. Right around the corner from our lodgings at Casita de Maya (another wonderful spot). We started off with breakfast, ended up having more meals here than any other single place on Cozumel. Excellent, tasty food, attentive, courteous service. Diego and his family could not have been... Diego is so nice and his food is incredible. He introduced us to a couple of new Mexican dishes that we absolutely loved! We loved chatting with him and his son Eric and at the end of our trip, our biggest regret was that we did not eat every meal at Diego's!
Diegos is a great place to eat. We had all of our breakfasts there and 75% of our dinners there . He made us a whole Flounder that was out of this world. Lobster (4 tails for the 2 of us) and anything we wanted he would have made.Papino his desert specialist made me the best flan I have ever... More

We spent a week in Cozumel and ate at Diego's almost every day. He and his family (and Senor Pepino) greeted us warmly every time, and created special meals for us when he discovered our preferences. All the meals were lovingly prepared: the shrimp, fish, and chorizo tacos were perfection; fajitas, frijoles charros (Diego-style, with smoked sausage), cochinita pibil (a... More
Make a trip to Diego's roadside diner and you feel as though Diego and his family have invited you into their family kitchen and they serve their meals with love and care. Order off the menu or have something specially prepared just for you. The chirizo omellete is the best on the island or get a couple sandwich's to go... More
We stayed close by at Casita de Maya (another great find) and ate many meals at Diego's. Breakfast, lunch and dinner - they are all out of this world. Diego will make you whatever you like, but in his own creative and delicious style. Everything is fresh, freshly cooked and reflects Diego's love for creating through cooking. We had fresh... More
