Excellent coconut shrimp. The Havana 7 year aged rum was tremendous. great setting, but bring bug spray, as the water is very lose and it is a channel, so it is sheltered from wind.
When we visited (which was a long time ago) it was later in the evening during low season and no other customers were there. What a nice location! I was happy to see Buenaventura and Jose, both formerly of NaBalam, working here. The place is pretty and spotless. We look forward to the expansion and the new larger palapa coming later this month.
The strengths of Chuuk Kay are its beautiful setting and the neatness of the place. Restroom was spotless. The selection of food and drinks is better than average for a relatively simple place. Ideal for relaxing on a lazy afternoon with drinks and munchies, watching the palm trees, the channel, and the occasional yacht passing by.
Great place decent prices, yummy ceviche, conch simply delicious, great athmosphere what a good place to eat, very authentic and fresh, I will go there all the time if I lived in Isla. It is worth the drive there, not easy to find but it is worth the effort.

The band that plays there on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from about 3:30 to 5:30 and is without a doubt the best band on the island and well worth spending the afternoon eating, drinking and... More
Last year we had very good nachos con pollo, so we went back again this year for it. It was so bad husband took one bite and pushed the plate away. I ended up eating most of it because I was starving looking forward to it . We will give a place a second chance if the first time is... More
