This is a little oasis from the sometimes draining bustle of 5th. Between calle 6 and 8, very central. Between a couple of galleries and opens out into a little plaza which is quiet lush with plant life and lit with string lights, very pretty. The restaurant is open air and small, very traditional rustic trattoria look. Nice lighting and... More

This restaurant is in one of the back alleyways by an art gallery. It is very beautiful with all the trees and lights all around us. The restaurant is very small but busy. There was only one waiter to start then another one appeared, so it took around 10 minutes before they even took our drink order. One liter bottle... More

We really enjoyed this restaurant. Lovely outside setting, great Italian food. Authentic as the owner is Italian. A little more expensive than others on 5th ave but well worth it.

I ordered spaghetti but it was thick & wormy looking. Didn't enjoy. He took it off our bill but he was rude about it. Hubby enjoyed lasagna but I thought it was just ok. Beautiful ambiance.

I made the mistake of reading the menu wrong let me say first. Yes the pasta is fresh Yes the beef is prime But rabbit and fettuccini, not my thing. If its yours, this is your place. It's really nice and great service

What represents more Italy amongst several Italian restaurants in playa del Carmen? Starting from the hospitality and kindness of the owners Mary and Maurizio, definitely a well assorted couple, continuing with the perfect location, reminds me a small Italian "piazza" in an ancient "centro storico" of a typical Mediterranean village, la casa mediterranea conquers you with its unique tastes. If... More

We found this place after a recommendation from TA. It is tucked off of 5th on a small alcove giving it a nice quiet atmosphere. The food was wonderful, from the bruschetta to the tuna carpaccio to the mushroom ravioli. Also save room for the tiramisu- awesome. It is a relatively small place so get there early or make reservations.... More

Came here with a party of 5 and ordered 4 entrees. Literally took 45 minutes (we timed it) for our entrees to come out. The food is good, authentic Italian but we shouldn't have had to wait that long for a few plates of pasta. Been there before and the service was much better. Disappointed in the slow service but... We ordered two pastas, mine was made of rabbit sauce and it was amazing! The pasta is completely homemade. The dishes were fantastic, the waiter was great and als very good wine. It's a little pricey compared to the rest of restaurants in Playa del Carmen but its completely worth it!

By the time this review gets posted, I will have dined at this place 2, maybe even 3 times. The place itself is a little hard to find - it is between 6 and 8th street, in a little courtyard - but it is definitely WORTH IT. Actually, I believe it is a test of sorts - so only the... More
