Nothing beats a sunny September afternoon on Carr's deck overlooking the Stanley River with a drink and fresh seafood. Salivating just remembering it!

It was late Oct. and we were looking for a seafood restuarant, everything was closed at this time of year except Carr,s. Not much to look at but had that homey feeling. We sat inside and enjoyed of the view. The chowder was very good but could have been larger for the price and my wife really enjoyed her lobster...

We're from the West Coast, enjoy virtually all kinds of seafood and while we'd read mixed reviews about Carr's, we decided to drop in for lunch as it was on our route to Charlottetown.
When we were being seated, the server told us about the special combination of crab-cakes and bacon-wrapped scallops.
Another server arrived and informed us that the...

Drove from Cavendish to Malpeque to try this place my Lonely Planet book recommended. Didn't get the bright idea to call before driving all the way out there. To our dismay it was closed. Tried a different restaurant on the way to Malpeque, it was closed. So we landed at Carr's Oyster Bar on accident without even knowing it was...

My husband and I ate at Carr's the other night when we were staying in Cavendish. Most of the restaurants in the area had closed down for the season and Carr's was one of the very few still open, but we were disappointed in our experience. Our food was fine, but the wait staff seemed uninterested in serving us when...

While planning our trip to Prince Edward Island, I saw that a course in oyster shucking was being offered at Carr's Oyster Bar. Oyster shucking has always looked so difficult with grunting openers and mailed gloves but my wife and I were interested. Our instructor gave us an informative lesson about oysters before making us feel like expert shuckers. She...

Home Cookin!
A clam chowder that you can let your spoon sit, straight up in.
A seefood platter that you can just imagine the seefood being caught that day. A dessert like your mother made since you were good all week.
What else do you want? A smiling waitress. You got it and funny.
Just a charming,...

We were in Cavendish visiting Anne of Green Gables house and looking for a quick lunch on the way to the Bottle Houses. Checked TA and read about Carr's. So we drove along to the Stanley Bridge, spotted the sign, hit the brakes and wheeled in.
A couple of TA colleagues had said the place wasn't much to look at....

Arrived in a downpour, but we had a great time - kids tried every kind of seafood - but the deep-fried clams, pan-fried haddock and scallops were the favourites. Portions were kind of small for the price but the food was delicious. The added bonus was the attached maritime museum and touch tank which the kids loved. Service was super...
