Ok, as a veggie, this place was always going to be a little challenging for me. I made a loophole for the evening (yeah - I'm one of those veggies) and was looking forward to the gator on the menu. Sadly, it's only a starter. The waitress couldn't seem to work out the best way for me to have it... More

From the moment you walk in the door, the music and atmosphere are very welcoming. The host and servers, the ambiance, and don't forget the great food! Great wines accompany good friends and you have an evening to remember

I've been coming to LP for years and even though things change here and there on the menu and with the décor, the food remains consistently excellent. The rib and jambalaya combo is my personal favourite and, with the demise of Jack's Grill, LP is now the place for bread pudding (the rum sauce is still too sweet to make... More

The Stones sang a song called "I cant get no, satisfaction...". Well, I can tell you that I agree with the boys that you can find satisfaction with the Satisfaction plate. My meal consisted of some of the best jambalaya that I ever had. It was loaded with flavor and topped off with more flavor. I also has sausage in... More

Have been here I can't remember how many times now, every time we visit Edmonton and this is the only resturant I can say that about! So many other's just seem to be the "same old, same old", but not Louisiana Purchase. Quality has always been a cut above and I suppose that is why we keep returning. Staff is... More

I've been eating for... nearly 22 years. And I get the same thing every time, the Satisfaction Plate. When you find something so good, why get something else? To be fair I've had the Mimosa salad, the mussels (don't bother sharing, you'll want these all to yourself, I'm not lying), I've tried a couple of the other appies as well.... More

We visit Louisiana Purchase regularly and have done so for over 10 years. The food is always excellent and good value and it is a wonderful change from some of the other more common offerings in the city. The house special mixed drinks like the Loup Garou are worth a try!

If you haven't tried pecan encrusted... anything, you owe it to yourself to try it, maybe even as your last meal. This lovely, bigger than a whole in the wall but not by much, restaurant feels like it is frequented by musicians and foodies alike (not to say that a musician can't be a foodie too, or vice versa). The... More

A nice change from burgers or steaks. Southern atmosphere right down to the music. Comfortable and cozy. Great service and food presentation. Prices were a bit high but the food was tasty and the serving portions were just right, although I could have eaten a lot more jambalya. The management were more than accommodating with most menu items prepared gluten... More
