We found the main street patio of the Willow St. Cafe a very inviting place to enjoy a beer and some home made food while watching people walk by the shops all around us. Just as we were about to head out we heard some music start up inside. We joined the group of mostly locals inside for a couple...

Dear Birds_of_a_feather,
Thank you so much for the review! I totally remember who you are and you joining Tropical Vibe in the cafe once the music began! We are at the beginning of a new venture with the cafe supporting live music in Chemainus and we are so glad you enjoyed yourselves. Please come back when you get the chance....

Great quality food, all is made there, the salsa, the soups, the baked goods. Located in old beautiful character building. Friendly staff, we totally recommend this place.
Hi Maria.
Thank you for your review highlighting the quality of our food. Our menu is not pretentious or over the top, just simple home cooked food. You're right too, pretty much everything is made here on site. I do have to admit though that we bring in the salsa. We discovered it at a food show and just had...

The Willow Street Cafe is our very favourite spot in Chemainus! The owners, Phil and Michelle are perfect hosts and couldn't be more welcoming....feels like home. Delicious homemade food, warm atmosphere and friendly staff make this our #1 recommendation to family, friends and travellers as a destination or stopping point when travelling through Chemainus. Well done, Phil and Michelle!
Dear Claudia M,
Thank you so much for your kind review! We're thrilled to be your #1 recommendation and will try to continue to remain that way. Please let us know if we ever make a mistake or we slip. It's wonderful to get the kudos, but even more important to keep consistent.

Stopped in for lunch on a saturday and it was awesome. The special was a chowder made from the owners family recipe withe a homemade cheese scone. The beer was cold and excellent carrot cake for dessert. Service was great too.
Dear SaskatchewanBlowfish,
Thank you for your review. I will tell my Dad that you loved his chowder recipe! Truth be told, I never saw a white or red clam chowder until I was 18 years old working in my first restaurant. We're so glad you enjoyed your experience and we look forward to serving you again in the future.

Phil and Michelle are all you could hope for in a business owner in a small town.
First off, the food in their establishment is top notch. Fresh, fairly priced and delicious. I can't think of anything I ever tried that wasn't made in house or sourced locally. Start with a cheese scone, and finish with a cinnamon bun. yes,...

Dear Ntrtaynr. Thank you for your very kind words and how descriptive you were with our menu. As well, I take great pride in you're noticing our support of the arts in our community. Seems like when recessions hit the very first thing that takes a hit is the arts so we are proud to support them. We love what...

A fun place to visit when the summer rush is over. They work hard to keep people visiting with open mike performances and their involvement with the local theatre. Great service, nice food and coffee too!
Hi Rose,
Thank you for your review. I hope that you meant the "rush" of the summer day and come relax in the evening at many of our music events... We really don't want to discourage people from visiting us in the Summer :)
Thank you for highlighting our music nights and our support of the Chemainus Theatre Festival. We...
