I have eaten at the Drunken Goat many times. The food (Greek) is consistently great, with large helpings. Tastes like homecooked. A favourite of the locals. Tony the owner is a Dawson character with a heart of gold. Ask him to tell the story of how the restaurant got it's name. You can also eat next door at the Billy...

It's not just Greek food, they also serve Continental cuisine. We ate at the Goat twice. In mid March I had a steak which was fantastic and a small Cesar Salad before that, which was crunchy and extremely tasty. My wife had some chicken variation with rice which reportedly was excellent. The waitress was from Quebec, very friendly, fast and...

Excellent lamb chops although no souvlaki in winter. friendly atmosphere and shared tables meant we became part of the regular evening trivial pursuit challenge and were able to help our local friends boost their standing. Lots of fun!
The food is well-cooked, with extremely generous portion sizes. My meal came as both an appetiser and a main size, and though the waitress neglected to ask me which size I wanted, I assumed from the heaped plate that I was served the main, and it wasn't until I got the bill that I saw it was just the starter!

First things first..............I have always loved going for dinner at the Goat. Since I don't live in Dawson it is always a treat to go there when I'm in town.

Gathered at the Goat after our work commitments were completed. I was hungry and ready for a drink. The wine was excellent and the generously served glass of red seemed to go down easy.
I ordered a greek salad and for Northern vegetables (we tend to not get great produce in the winter) - this salad was above average -...

Excellent food, sit by the fireplace. If you are staying at the Eldorado ask for directions .. you can cut through the parking lot and make it a 1 minute walk instead of walking around the block.
The front of the restaurant would make a person ,....just keep walking. Not very inviting- looking. A storefront with no indication of what to expect. They serve pretty good Greek cuisine and seafood. Big portions. Just because it's a lot for your money - doesn't make it great. We dined early and shared our dishes. We were the only people...

Very good meal and outstanding service on the deck of the Drunken Goat. Busy place - we waited 45 minutes to get in - but in a place with limited restaurants, that's a good sign and if we'd been thinking we would have made a reservation. Not fancy but ample portions of well prepared food. Greek & less Greek food...
