This small restaurant at the north end of Nanaimo serves excellent Thai food. The service is great and friendly and the food is always hot and obviously freshly made. It is usually busy so get there early.

While not the largest seating establishment, the excellent Thai cuisine more than makes up for the small quarters. Probably the best Thai restaurant on Vancouver Island.

Truly authentic Thai cooking and generous portions for a great price. Great service, great atmosphere. I love it, I highly recommend!

I've found it hard to find good Asian food in Nanaimo, but Kasira has not disappointed. The duck is wonderful and had drunken noodles last night for the first time. Very tasty.

Got some take after reading the good reviews. Take out was about 15 min which was good. Too bad the anticipation outperformed the dining. Spring rolls were fried crispy and had a good crunch. However the filling was bland and tasteless. And the gave a container of Chinese style sweet and sour sauce,which was gelatinous and not the nice liquidy... More

We go every two months or so. The food and the service are fantastic and we always have a great time. We always have to wait a bit but it is worth it. I love the Panang curry.

The service is fantastic and the food is even better. This is a family run restaurant with great ambiance and a flare for the dramatic. I ordered about 90$ worth of ake out and my chicken red curry didn't even have an authentic flavor, they deffinitly did not use basil or sesame oil. The pad thai was alright but again lacked key ingredients like spring onions and peanuts. I would not eat here again.

I love small, authentic restaurants; and Kasira's is just that. Staff friendly, price reasonable, food portions above average. I love that they make their own hot sauce; I love spicy food, always ask for extra. Best to make reservations as it is very busy.
