Some of the best Sushi ever in a very pleasant, casual, & friendly atmosphere. Prompt service & cold beer.
We had a great experience at Tough City Sushi. The sushi was very fresh and tasted great. We eat a lot of sushi at home and this was very high quality. We were also very happy with the service. Our server was very attentive and helped us choose some of our dishes from the menu. A real bonus was that... More
I had high expectations for having sushi here, just because Tofino is by the ocean and everything should be really fresh. I have to say, the sushi did not even come close to my favourite sushi place in Calgary...we ordered a bunch of different rolls and to be honest they were also kind of expensive. We were handed menus at... More
We were told the sushi was fresh off the boat downstairs, and it tasted like it! My husband doesn't eat sushi, so he had a Caesar salad and raved about it. He wanted to go back the next day, but we had other restaurants to try....

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Tough City. Locals in the hardware store directed us how to get there, loudly proclaiming how great the food is, and how awesome the owner. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our waitress made us special lime sake margaritas, and helped us with our meal choices. The agedashi... More
Sushi was terrific by what the others in our group said, but if you want something other than sushi, you are pretty much out of luck. I had Caesar Salad with chicken and it was good, but they need to expand menu for non sushi fans. Drinks were great.
Me and some friends went out to this restaurant a couple of times while we were in Tofino. The sushi was fresh and flavourful. The california rolls with dungeness crab were superb. My friend really enjoyed the maki platter.
This place could serve cardboard and it would still be awesome. The view from the deck is absolutely amazing, and if you are lucky you will get to see Crazy Ron feed the eagle. Oh, and the food and drinks...not too shabby.
