Went for supper and was a great experience! The local atmosphere and food was excellent! Couldn't have asked for better food!

This seems to be the place to go in Tofino. Had a great upstairs table with a great view of the water. Food good and I would recommend the salmon.

My wife and I ate there last night. Food was excellent. Homemade pasta with shrimp, and mussels was superb. Also good calamari. Chocolate Moose desert was very good too. It is crowded and noisy, but the food and service make up for it.

The cabin like atmosphere of Shelter is charming and the service was good, but we expected better food. I enjoyed my chicken teriyaki bowl but my wife's panko chicken sandwich was severely overcooked. You could tell by how dark the batter had become that it was overcooked, yet they chose to serve it anyway.

We had a great time enjoying drinks & dinner at Shelter after a fantastic day of hiking and beachwalking nearby. The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere and the servers were great. They were attentive and friendly, many of the service industry people in Tofino could stand to drop their attitudes and take a lesson or two from the people that work here. Great service, nice cold beer, salmon perfectly cooked; lots of locals made for a nice ambience. Patio heaters make it easy to stay late.
