Description: Brix Restaurant and Wine Bar was one of the first restaurants in the development of Vancouver’s historic Yaletown quarter as a destination for casual fine dining. Opening in April 1999 in a turn-of-the-century heritage building on Homer Street it quickly became known for its innovative food, an extensive, well priced wine list, and its warm and inviting atmosphere amid the high-beamed ceilings and original exposed-brick walls. A unique glass covered key hole courtyard is one of the city's top restaurant patios and is the only Yaletown outdoor dining space opened past 11pm. An elegant dinner features a wide range of seafood, game, meat and poultry dishes and close proximity to the theatre district makes the light early dining menu a perfect pairing. Brix is also a favourite for the late-night crowd, too, offering great late-night dining into the wee hours. Vancouver's top cocktail lounge, George, is only a flight of stairs away down on Hamilton Street.

This restaurant is in the heart of Yaletown. I have visited for lunch many times and also for a Spanish wine tasting dinner for the International Wine Festival. They have a lovely courtyard that is perfect for a pre dinner drink and the restaurant proper features some wonderful art from a local artist. The food is excellent...great tapas and try... More

Brix is a great place for a nice meal. They have a fantastic covered courtyard that has a great atmosphere and the restaurant itself is really nice, small set in an old brick building and not too noisy. The food was really good, I would definitely recommend the sablefish gnocchi. Friends had the wild mushroom fettuccine and loved it. The... More

Enjoyed an elegant girls night out at Brix Restaurant last Monday. Live music brought the courtyard to life as we sipped on delicious wines and shared the best cheese platter in the city. Our server was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. After a night of wine, music, and laughter, we shared the beautiful flaming creme burlee at the server’s recommendation. What... More

My husband and I recently celebrated his birthday at Brix Restaurant in Yaletown. We not only had excellent service but the food was outstanding. The courtyard where we had our dinner provided such a lovely peaceful setting. When we finished our meal we went downstairs to George lounge and enjoyed an after dinner drink. If you want great food, atmosphere,... More

My hotel I was staying at recommended dinner at Brix. Upon walking in I was amazed that such a court yard could exist in modern Yaletown. I was very impressed with their wine list..it was very snappy with the largest selection of wines by the glass I've seen. The staff was very knowlegable and able to pair my wine with... More

Some friends & I heard about live music happening in their enclosed courtyard on a monday night which sounded interesting. We went along and felt very relaxed and comfortable in the courtyard setting and was very impressed with the extensive wine menu they have. All in all a good night of good wine, good jazz & good company. Would definately... More

Brix is a great restaurant and I'm surprised that it isn't packed every night. The friendly yet professional service compliments the wonderful food and deep wine list. I have dined at Brix a number of times on occasions varying from a romantic dinner for two to late night burgers and beer after the game. Highlights for me were the duck... More

I rarely write poor reviews as I'm quite diligent in selecting dining locales. In this case, Brix was a tale of two experiences. The general atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant is very nice. Unfortunately, we were seated on a cool, wet night right by an exit door. In hindsight, we should have asked for another table. The good news... More

My husband and I dined at Brix for our wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived we couldn't have been looked after any better. The wine list was incredible and we enjoyed the wine recommended to us by the staff. Food was very well presented and delicious. We sat inside rather than the courtyard and loved the room filled with... More

After checking out trip advisor for a good recommendation, we chose Brix and it was a great choice! I ordered a Stanley Park Amber and the vegetarian risotto and was not disappointed. We had great service and a really great time!
