This place has delicious food and fun ambience . It gets very busy so service may be inconsistent. It has a great wine selection. Try the mussels!

Great room, excellent service - including a very patient sommelier. Highly recommend the Moules frites congolaise.

Belgian fare - beautifully presented - pricey. Went after work and it was very busy. Enjoyed the local menu and a very nicely mixed cocktail. Be prepared to pay. Recommend the cheese and cracker platter with your wine/ cocktail.

I have visited Chambar several times and never was disappointed. The food is very or excellent, the choice of Belgian beers is fantastic, the service extremely friendly and the ambience is great. ANd since the best dishes (moules frites) is relatively inexpensive, it is not too costly to go there. I would definitely recommend it as on the best places... More

My g/f and I go to Chambar on a semi regular basis. We go there for drinks and desserts. We always get greeted promptly once we are in, we usually attend the restaurant a little later in the evening so we don't have to wait for a table. The service has always been impeccable whether we sit at a table... More

First impressions, first visit, a very busy place on a Thursday evening and everyone enjoying themselves! The service was very good, the food almost perfect, crowded and noisy but fun. Their beer menu was exceptional and educational, the small plates were at first glance unusual (not your 'normal' list of ingredients), but delicious! I had the sherry braised rabbit canneloni,... The cocktail Bellevue Hotel (Nut tea infused gin, lillet, fig, lemon, cinnamon, egg white foam) is the best drink I have ever had, so delicious I could have drunk them all evening long. I would come back just for more of those. The place was packed when I arrived around 6 as there was a hockey game on and an... More

I had Dine Out dinner twice at Chambar restaurant and their food are always good except a bit too dark but that is not important as long as food is good that all I need. As mussels are one of signature dishes, indeed it is delicious. P.S. I have visited earlier than April, 2012

A lively, buzzy place with a fantastic fun clientele, friendly (yet professional) staff, a left-of-centre menu and a unique cuisine to offer, Chambar seems to have it all going for it. I recenty dined here as a guest of some good friends and, while I graciously commended the restaurant on the night I was enormously disappointed. I also feel as... More

The food, service and ambience of this restaurant is always excellent - in fact Chambar is one of my top 3 favourite restaurants in Vancouver. Their menu is just the right size where they have something to offer for every taste. I tend to go for the mussels almost every time (never disappointed). Last week I tried the fois gras... More
