We've been to Raja numerous times and have always greatly enjoyed both the food and the service. Tonight was another story... We arrived after a show at 5:30 - no reservation but were accommodated. We waited for an hour and 15 minutes for the food to arrive. When I gently asked the manager, I was told that everyone was waiting... More

Bland is an understatement. I couldn't tell whether I was served badly seasoned Jamaican or under seasoned Indian...my wife commented her Chicken Tikka Masala tasted a lot like Chicken Cacciatore...go figure. However...service was attentive and all things considered the meal wasn't a total loss as my wife's dinner was taken off the final cheque. No need for a return visit.

Great service, wonderful food! This really is the best Indian food we have found in the area. The lunch menu is an absolute bargain! We are never disappointed with the food, always excellent.

I perhaps ordered the wrong thing: fish curry and aloo gobi. The fish (salmon) was hard and seemed to have been microwaved before being smothered in the curry sauce (the sauce was good, but I couldn't eat the salmon). I absolutely love their Butter Chicken and everything that comes with it makes it such a great meal. Each time we have been there, everyone has come away in awe, wanting to return.

There were six in our party, who had never really experienced East India cuisine before. I explained this to our waiter who was very informative about the items on the menu and I had indicated that we would rather not have anything too spicy. Raja is a superb Indian restaurant tucked away in Stratford, Ontario. It has a companion in London, England. The food is amazing; some of the finest Indian food in Canada. The decor is equally pleasing, and the service is outstanding. I've been going to the Stratford Theatre Festival for over 20 years, and Raja is a MUST on every visit!
