They say they're gluten-free, which is great! I had a steak and avocado sandwich and it was good. They stuff so much into those sandwiches. Friendly service.
Me my wife and my two daughters went to eat there the food was good the server was prompt and friendly , the whole restaurant got a little smoky when they were grilling our steaks but other than that the food was good and the steak was very juicy if I go back to Toronto , I would eat there... More
We stopped by late Saturaday night( with 2 small children) and pleasantly found a fantastic meal. The staff there were incredibly nice. The food came quickly and was very well made. Make sure that you try their Sugarcane Lemonade!!!
I've never had an arepa before, but I'd seen them on the Food Network. So when I walked past this trendy little cafe on a walking tour of the Queen St. West neighbourhood, I made a mental note to check it out once the tour ended. The decor is clean, sleek, uncluttered. Service is attentive, friendly, and laidback. I ordered... More
We were staying very close to the cafe, and after reading the rave reviews decided to check it out ourselves. When you walk in, it feels like a cafe where you would go up to the counter and order, but they actually have table service. My fiance and I shared the la catira (chicken breast, cheddar, tomato, herb mayo) and... More

Another recommendation from a family friend and it did not disappoint. I've been meaning to try this place on the last few trips to Toronto and it never worked out. Wish I hadn't waited this long to get to try their food - it was delicious. The service was great & friendly and overall this is a place I'll be... More
Great food, but the service was not the best. The guy taking care of our table kept flirting with some girls and completely ignored us, we had to ask for drinks and dessert twice before he remembered to bring any.
Arepa Cafe is the only spot in Toronto where you can have an authentic Venezuelan meal (that I know of). For Venezuelans, it brings a little piece of home and for those that are unfamiliar with it, it offers an exciting new taste. I frequent it often and it is usually full. It's perfect for lunch!
We stumbled on this cafe while on our way to catch a show at Velvet Underground. What a quaint little Venezuelan cafe...did not even know arepas existed until we came here! I had a chicken & avocado wrap (called Curvy Queen on the menu) and it was so tasty! Perhaps I'm biased since I love everything avocado...and the sure did... More
